The Cals College Nieuwegein offers secondary education to about 2000 pupils in Nieuwegein, the Netherlands. Next to the compulsory courses the Cals College offers a lot of specialization courses and extracurricular activities. The preparation of the pupils, for the world after school, is of paramount importance at this school.

Just like other schools in the Netherlands, the Cals College Nieuwegein wants to provide in a more sustainable and green learning environment, by using renewable energy systems such as solar panels on their roofs. Due to its large amount of roof surfaces (eleven in total), the Cals College building in Nieuwegein is extremely suitable for the integration of these type of systems.

In order to provide with a safe working environment for maintenance workers and personnel, our Dutch partner AllRisk valbeveiliging was contracted to install various permanent fall protection measures. A total of 76 XSGlobe single anchor points were installed, along with more than 300 meters (984 feet) of horizontal lifeline and approx. 60 meters (197 feet) of freestanding XSGuardrail systems.
