As one of the world’s most geographically diversified steel producers, our client for this project is one of the largest steel producers in Europe.

With Health & Safety being a top priority for this company, they requested a solution for a returning issue. When large rolls of steel (approx. 28.000 kg per piece) are transported to the production line, a worker needs to cut the straps that hold the rolls together, bringing him into a zone where a fall hazard exists. Also, maintenance work to the production machine requires workers to access these areas. The installation and use of fall restraint systems take away this hazard.

The PPE sets provided exist of full-body harnesses and (adjustable) restraint lanyards that ensure the worker will not be able to reach the edge of the platform and fall hazard is eliminated.
