Solution:  Lifeline along roof edge (★★★★) & lifeline + anti-pendulum (★★★)

This sloping roof in the Netherlands needs regular cleaning and gutter maintenance. To offer fall protection for workers on this roof, a special base plate is required: one that could be fitted on the standing seam profile of the aluminum roofing material.

As a longtime Partner of XSPlatforms, SkySafe was able to offer a solution. They ordered seven XTrusion base plates, which are suitable for various types of metal deck roofs. For application on standing seam profiles, XTrusions come with special clamps that ensure great tensile strength. Three of the XTrusion base plates were used to create an XSLinked lifeline in the center of the roof.

The other four were fitted with an XSGlobe to be used as anti-pendulum anchors. When working near the roof corners, users connected to the lifeline also loop their lanyard through the anti-pendulum anchors in order to limit the size of the swing when a fall occurs. This project also includes an XSLinked lifeline along the edge of an adjacent flat roof.
