Following the rules as stated by OSHA can be complex. Every part of working at height has their own decree. To make things easier for you we’ve put together a list of questions. You can fill these in and instantly get a response to see if your safety program can use improvement.

As employer, contractor or building owner you are responsible for providing a safe workplace. In the case of working at height this means you need to provide protection against any fall hazards.

For the sake of this quiz we only look at federal OSHA compliance with OSHA 1910 Subpart D – Walking-Working Surfaces. This is a general overview and no rights can be derived from filling in this list.

12 QUESTIONS TO BE OSHA COMPLIANT

This test is relevant if:

  • you have worksites that are at least 4 feet (general industry) above a lower level with unprotected sides or edges.
  • you have worksites that are at least 6 feet (construction) above a lower level with unprotected sides or edges.
  • your workers have to work above dangerous machines or equipment.
