XTRUSION ANCHOR POINTS ON DOUBLE FOLD SEAM ROOF

Client: Armada C2

Partner: AllRisk valbeveiliging

Country: The Netherlands

Solution:  Rail system with anti-pendulum anchors (★★★)

The Armada project is a series of apartment buildings in Paleiskwartier: the main development area in the city of Den Bosch. The steel facades of the residential buildings resemble the wind-filled sails of a fleet of battleships.

The roof of Armada C2 needs to be accessible for window cleaning and maintenance work on the ventilation, the air conditioning units, or the roof itself. After an inspection it was concluded that it was not safe to work on the roof. The work was shut down and a safety solution was found by AllRisk valbeveiliging, in the offer of XSPlatforms.

Four XTrusion base plates, fitted with rotating XSGlobe anchor points, were installed on the standing round seam profile of the steel roof. They are used as anti-pendulum anchors, in conjunction with the existing rail system in the middle of the roof.
