573 METERS OF LIFELINE FOR GUTTER MAINTENANCE WORK

Client: Leeuwerik Plaat B.V.

Partner: SkySafe valbeveiliging

Country: The Netherlands

Solution: Horizontal lifeline along roof edge (★★★★)

Leeuwerik Plaat is one of the biggest suppliers of engineered wood in the Netherlands. The roof of their headquarters in Eindhoven, with a surface of more than 20.500 m2,  was recently equipped with enough solar panels to provide electricity for the whole building.

For that reason, SkySafe valbeveiliging was asked to provide a new fall protection system for gutter maintenance. The Initial request was to equip the existing deadweight anchors on the roof with a lifeline. But replacing the deadweight anchors with 3 brand-new permanent XSLinked lifelines along the roof edges instead, the roof could fit far more solar panels.

The lifeline was mounted on XSBase plates covered by TPO roofing material. A special ring was pressed around the anchor point, to prevent corrosion caused by the rainwater that may remain on the waterproof TPO material.
