XSRAIL OVERHEAD SYSTEM ON NEW HEAD OFFICE OF HUURLAND
Safeguarding HUURLAND’s new HQ with advanced XSRail overhead system
In December 2020, Govar Industriebouw, commissioned by Huurland, began the construction of the state-of-the-art ‘Amimo’ building in Flemish Nazareth. For the building design, Huurland enlisted Architectenbureau Naert, a firm renowned for its diverse range of innovative constructions and a strong focus on sustainability and energy efficiency.
Window cleaning becomes a risky task without fall protection
The office’s large windows provide a maximum view of the adjacent Papelen pond and the surroundings of the Prijkels industrial park, creating an excellent working environment for employees.
To safely maintain these large windows from the outside, a suitable fall protection system was necessary—one that blended seamlessly with the building’s aesthetics. The XSRail overhead system was chosen for its ability to be installed directly onto the concrete structure.
XSRail ensures optimal freedom of movement during cleaning tasks
This task was awarded to and completed by XSPlatforms’ partner, Heyerick Projects, in 2024. Due to the narrow walkways along the facade, there was limited freedom of movement. To address this, XSStop mini fall arrest devices were used to immediately block any potential falls. This provides users with greater peace of mind and ensures safe working conditions.
The three-story building features an impressive 40.5 meters of rail. In this configuration, the XSRailrunner offers optimal freedom of movement during cleaning tasks, allowing window cleaners to focus solely on the cleaning process. As a result, each cleaning session is carried out safely and efficiently, ensuring that everyone can continue to enjoy the view.
