WALL SYSTEM FOR LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE

Wall system for landscape maintenance

Partner: AllRisk valbeveiliging

Country: The Netherlands

Solution: Lifeline for wall

This project highlights a different aspect of safe working at height. This time we did not provide a solution for a roof of a factory, but a lifeline system for work restraint, mounted on the wall of an old castle.

During the urban renovation of the Masiusplein in Zevenaar, the decision was made to restore the contours of the old castle and to combine it with the entrance of a new underground car park. Various green strips have been included in the design of the square, which require regular maintenance.

To provide workers with a safe work environment for landscape maintenance, a horizontal lifeline system was installed on the wall of the old castle. Gardeners and other workers can attach themselves to the system by means of a fixed or adjustable lanyard and thus prevent the risk of a fall in the adjacent parking garage. At all times the lanyard should be no longer than the distance from the system to the edge of the green area, to prevent falls from happening.
