THREE TYPES OF FALL PROTECTION SYSTEMS FOR SORTING OFFICE

Horizontal lifeline system for safe maintenance

Partner: AllRisk valbeveiliging

Country: The Netherlands

Solution: Horizontal lifeline system (★★★), XSGlobe anchor points (★★), and RAP anchor points with a temporary lifeline (★)

Our Dutch Partner AllRisk installed three types of fall protection systems on a large, newly built processing and distribution center (9.400 m2 / 101.181 ft2). With 7075 m2 / 76155 ft2 of gross floor space, this sorting center is one of the largest in the Netherlands.

AllRisk installed various types of fall protection systems to enable safe work at height around various skylights, air ducts and air conditioning units. As a result a combination of our 1-, 2-, and 3-star fall protection solutions are spread out over two roofs. One XSLinked lifeline system (approx. 35 m / 115 ft) and 36 XSGlobe anchor points were installed on the main roof of the sorting center. The attached loading dock area was equipped with one lifeline (approx. 38 m / 125 ft) and 3 anti-pendulum anchor points.

For additional access to a number of roof installations, the lifeline system on the large sorting center has been expanded with two RAP anchor points. These offer the possibility to apply a temporary lifeline to the permanent system in order to create extra freedom of movement for the user.
