HORIZONTAL LIFELINE SYSTEMS FOR COLLEGE IN GORINCHEM

Partner: AllRisk valbeveiliging

Country: The Netherlands

Solution: Horizontal lifeline system (★★★) and XSGlobe anti-pendulum anchor points (★★)

The Da Vinci College is a Dutch regional education and training center with a total of seventeen locations, most of them spread out throughout the province of South Holland, the Netherlands.

AllRisk, our Dutch Partner, was asked to install several fall protection solutions to enable safe work at height on the school’s location in Gorinchem.

The roof of the Da Vince College in Gorinchem consists of 6 different roof surfaces, of which 3 are low sloping. Each surface posed their own challenges with various skylights and installations present on these roofs.

All together AllRisk set up a total of 12 horizontal lifeline systems with approximately 417 meters (1368 ft) of steel wire-rope, mounted on 57 anchor plates. In addition 19 XSGlobe single anchor points were installed to simplify work positioning. These anchor points will also limit the danger of a swing fall / pendulum effect in case a fall occurs.
