HORIZONTAL LIFELINE FOR SAFE MAINTENANCE ON APARTMENT BUILDINGS

Horizontal lifeline system for safe PV system maintenance

Partner: AllRisk valbeveiliging

Country: The Netherlands

Solution: XSLinked horizontal lifeline system (★★★)

3 Residential apartment buildings, with a total of 74 apartments for public rental, are being built at the Juvenaatlaan in Etten-Leur, The Netherlands. This project is a design by architectural firm LEVS architecten from Rotterdam and is being commissioned by the Woonstichting Etten-Leur (WEL).

The new apartment complexes are characterized by sustainability, which is also reflected on the roof. All 3 buildings are equipped with a large number of PV installations (solar panels) covering the roof.

In order to provide safe maintenance to the various PV systems and other installations on the roofs, AllRisk has equipped each roof with two horizontal lifeline systems. One XSLinked system is installed on either side of each roof, so in total 6 systems were put up on 3 roofs.
