GUARDRAILS AND A LIFELINE SYSTEM COMBINED ON A 30 STOREY OFFICE TOWER

Partner: AllRisk valbeveiliging

Country: The Netherlands

Solution: Parapet guardrails combined with horizontal lifeline system (★★★★★ & ★★★)

To guarantee safe roof access, AllRisk has installed several parapet guardrail systems and one XSLinked horizontal lifeline system on top of this 107 meter (351 feet), 30 storey, office tower, located in the heart of Rotterdam.

Part of the XSFixed parapet guardrails are installed in connection with a caged ladder to provide access for maintenance workers and window washers (as access to their building maintenance unit).

Both the start and end point of the lifeline system are positioned within a zone so workers can safely attach and detach without the risk of falling. The system starts near the roof access (ladder) point and ends in a guardrail protected area near one of the various roof installations.
