The National Theater of Costa Rica is located in the center of the city of San José and is the main theater of Costa Rica. The theater is considered one of the most important buildings in national history, and the main architectural jewel of the city of San José. The neoclassical styled building was completed in 1897 and is now considered a national monument.
Next to a place for stimulating performing arts, the National Theater is a tourist attraction. The facade of the building features statues of, for example, Beethoven and Calderón de la Barca.
Our Partner in Costa Rica, Soluciones Floruma, installed XSLinked horizontal lifeline systems to provide a safe workplace on the roof of the National Theater. The lifeline systems are installed on XSMD base plates, these are specially designed to suit trapezoidal cold roofs.
