Solution: XSGlobe anchor points and anti-pendulum anchors (★★), can be used with a temporary lifeline (★)
Our Dutch Partner AllRisk was asked to provide a solution regarding rooftop accessibility and safety on the roof for the newly constructed location of chilled products manufacturer Bresc in Werkendam, the Netherlands.
On behalf of Primadak Roosendaal, a roofing company, AllRisk installed 24 XSGlobe anchor points on the approx. 5.700 m2 (61354 ft2) roof surface. The anchor points are located on the edge of the safe zone, 4 m (13 ft) from the roof edge (in accordance with Dutch law). Five of the anchor points are installed on the corners of the roof surface to serve as anti-pendulum anchors.
This way, facility personnel and maintenance workers have safe access to the various installations on the roof. The fall protection system is also employed for regular maintenance to the water drainage system.
To provide users with extra freedom of movement a temporary lifeline can be utilized. This adjustable lifeline, with a maximum span of 20 m (65 ft), is installed temporarily between two XSGlobe anchor points so that a user can move along the entire span of the rope. Thus increasing their mobility on the job.
